REPAIRING HOLES

The 'Repairing Holes' workshop focused on the survival of skills as a survival skill. The workshop discussed ideas of frugality, fixing and repairing - we talked about DIY while repairing our socks and jumpers. We used up Grandmas old tapestry cotton which had been sitting in the cupboard for ten years, and all learnt a new skill which means our socks are now multi-coloured and unique. Darning is just one skill on the brink of being lost in the sea of mass consumption and our darning circle provided both quiet, slow time and time for talking about ideas within the Boot Camp.
