PAPER MONEY

Based on the belief that making 1000 paper cranes grants you a wish, this project asks the group to make 1000 traditional origami congratulatory money gifts in the hopes to invite wealth into our lives, and more specifically, our art practices.
This project attempts to illustrate the laborious task of keeping a financially sustainable art practice, and life. Additionally, the possible rejections and failures we experience when applying for grants and exhibitions, as well as the failures of ideas we sometimes experience.
